TMG Research gGmbH is a Berlin-based research organization with a team in Nairobi, Kenya. We work on responsible governance and sustainability issues in land, agricultural and food systems, and address the nexus between sustainable development, climate and energy. We are dedicated to the analysis of new and complex challenges in national, European and international contexts and processes, and identifying novel solutions based on sound knowledge and our strong collaboration with a wide range of actors and communities in various fields and locations. Our research projects are developed, conducted and evaluated jointly with actors from science, politics, the private sector and civil society.

Aufgaben für den Öko-BFD:

We are currently looking for a

Federal Volunteer (m/f/x) (100%)

to support TMG’S Urban Food Futures programme and other TMG projects in the field of food systems with the opportunity to learn about activities of these projects in the context of an internationally working sustainability ThinkTank.
You will be able to support TMG with the coordination and research activities involved in the aforementioned programme and projects.

wünschenswert sind:
Your skills:
· Ideally graduates with a background in environmental studies or international/interdisciplinary studies such as Development/Urban Studies, Social Anthropology or a related field in sustainability science, experience in a non-profit organisation is a plus
· Strong organisational skills and ability to work carefully and in a structured manner
· Ability to prioritise tasks in a wide range of activities
· Good research skills and strong IT skills (mainly Office 365)
· Flexibility and ability to work independently
· Very good oral and written communication skills in English and German, additional foreign language skills are very welcome
· Ability to work in a team and enjoy working in an international and intercultural work environment
